Steve Osborne has managed to maintain strongholds in several different areas of music over the 15 years he’s been producing. Hugely prolific in his co-production and remixing of some of the most seminal tracks of the early to mid 90s with Paul Oakenfold – this partnership culminated in the HAPPY MONDAYS’ award winning ‘Pills n’ Thrills and Bellyaches’ LP.
Steve then quickly became known for hugely successful and diverse productions in his own right which ranged from NEW ORDER, PLACEBO, THE DOVES, U2, KT TUNSTALL and ELBOW. He’s really at his best when combining his understanding of grooves with real instruments.
Recent productions have included A-HA’s biggest selling album for over a decade ‘Foot Of The Mountain’, an album ‘Rabbits on the run’ for multi-million selling US artist VANESSA CARLTON and an album for Faris Rotter’s critically acclaimed CAT’S EYES project. Steve has also produced an album for Welsh band PEOPLE IN PLANES and new band URESEN in his studio in Bath as well as mixing for IMELDA MAY, EVIL ALIEN and TODDLA T. Steve has just finished an album for US band GLINT and is currently working on tracks for an EP with CATS EYES.
