Rob Kirwan has a solid engineering background having trained under Flood and U2 on their “Pop” album and then engineering and eventually mixing for Flood on albums such as ECHOBOY’s “Giraffe’ and SOULWAX’s ‘ Any Minute Now”. Rob’s understanding of structure and sound has helped him be instrumental in the development of new UK bands such as CAPTAIN, THE FIELDS and GET CAPE. WEAR CAPE. FLY. – all of whom he produced first singles for.
Rob’s mixing skills shone on SOULSAVER’s, BARRY ADAMSON’s and co-mixing the EDITORS ‘In This Light And On this Evening. Rob has also recently mixed PAINS OF BEING PURE AT HEART and engineered for 30 SECONDS TO MARS,GLASVEGAS and POLLY JEAN HARVEY’s latest Mercury winning album ‘Let England Shake’. Rob has recently produced BELL X1 and the forthcoming DELORENTOS album and has just finished work with FLOOD on ORBITAL’s new album ‘Wonky’.
