Ben Hillier is a producer who blends old school engineering training with producers such as Flood, Steve Osborne and Gil Norton with what was then the new, quicker approach of programming. His background has created something of a maverick producer who listens to what a band wants and creates an environment for them to make an album they could only dream of. We've built studios all over the world so that Ben and the bands he's worked with feel comfortable and inspired - from a palace in Morocco for Blur's "Think Tank" album, to an abandoned schoolhouse on the banks of Loch Ness for Doves' "Some Cities" and a remote farmhouse in the wilds of Scarborough for the Futureheads "News and Tributes" Ben is all about finding out the essence of a band and their music and pushing them to new exciting highs to challenge and inspire them sonically.
Early 2008 saw Ben produce and mix the debut album for The Rascals and he's now back in the production chair for Depeche Mode following their last collaboration on "Playing The Angel" album.
