Over the last 24 years some of the worlds most successful selling artists and records have been produced, mixed or written by one of our clients. From Depeche Mode to Coldplay, U2 to Beyonce 140dB Management are at the cutting edge of song writing and music production.

140dB was established in 1987 and was based on the idea that young engineers and producers who were gaining their first production breaks needed one-to-one support as well as an individual strategy separate to that of the studios. With a vision, too,  to proactively track down artists that broke new ground and that genuinely excited them.

In time, 140dB became known for some of the most groundbreaking projects of the 80′s and 90′s – FLOOD’S production work alone over these years (with DEPECHE MODE, THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN, U2, THE SMASHING PUMPKINS, POLLY HARVEY, NIN, SIGUR ROS and EDITORS) proved him to be one of the most successful and prolific producers of his generation…. He was joined by the likes of STEVE OSBORNE, BEN HILLIER and DANTON SUPPLE, ED BULLER and GIL NORTON who quickly gained critical acclaim as producers and mixers. In recent years we have also amassed a team of younger writer / producers including DAN AUSTIN, JOE HIRST and ANDY SAVOURS, who look set to raise the bar and break new ground again.

Collectively, 140dB producers have also worked on many breakthrough and award winning albums including THE FOO FIGHTERS, ELBOW, NEW ORDER, PLACEBO, SUEDE, BLUR and EDITORS and breaking artists K-FLAY, ROLL DEEP and NICOLA ROBERTS to name only a few and 140dB producers have consistently won BRIT Awards and Grammy’s as well as Q Awards.

2010 had our clients producing and mixing albums for GLASVEGAS, DOVES, OH LAND, PJ HARVEY, ROLL DEEP, PEOPLE IN PLANES, GRAHAM COXON, CHARLIE SIMPSON, VANESSA CARLTON, RAY DAVIES and BAYSIDE as well as BETH JEANS HOUGHTON which we’re sure will further reinforce our reputation for being involved in the best projects around.

140dB now also represents a team of talented WRITERS including DAVE MC CRACKEN who began life as a pro-tools wizz and musical collaborator over at Sarm Studios.  Over the past 18 months Dave has penned tracks with artists from BEYONCE to IAN BROWN and OH LAND and FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE. The talented DIMITRI TIKOVOI has been flat out writing with THE SATURDAYS, MNEK, A*M*E, NICOLA ROBERTS, OH MY!, CATHY DENNIS, CHARLI XCX, AND PALOMA FAITH.

Our latest additions include JOE HIRST has recently co-written his first NO1 with ROLL DEEP writing GREEN LIGHT, JASON PERRY writer and producer of Mc Fly, PUSSYCAT DOLLS and recently KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES AND THE BLACKOUT. ALSO NEW TO THE ROSTER ARE RORY MEREDITH who was signed to Parlophone as an artist and MAYA VON DOLL who is an artist in her own right when not penning topline and lyrics for NICOLA ROBERTS, OH MY! and MNEK.

Most of our clients now have their own studios scattered around the country and beyond ( Bath, London, Dorset)  making both full on recording and earlier-days development equally as feasible and cost effective.
